Project Details:
The Pacific Motorway (M1) upgrade between Sports Drive and the Gateway Motorway is complete, delivering 3.5 km of widened lanes (up to five northbound) to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion between Eight Mile Plains and Underwood.
Key features
3.5km of the M1 widened to 5 northbound lanes between Sports Drive in the south to just north of the Gateway Motorway off–ramp.
Extended the V1 Veloway from the Gateway Motorway to Camelot Park, with local connections at Logan Road, Underwood Road and Maureen - Street.
Enhanced the fish passage in Bulimba Creek Tributary Brook, known locally as Big Al’s Brook.
Installed noise barriers for residents on the western side of the motorway.
McFadyen's Scope:
2,500+ metres of drainage pipework from 375-1350mm diameters
Approximately 90 drainage structures including concrete gullies, field inlets and access chambers/manholes of varying sizes
Conducted full in-house CCTV inspections across the network to verify installation standards and meet hand-over requirements.
